Well they have redeemed themselves a little bit! All in the cutlet meals including all the parms come with spaghetti now! This is a game changer. The focaccia bread appetizer was delicious. The shrimp oreganato was tasty as well. All the pasta dishes we had a unique delicious flavors. The Sunday gravy, the bolognese, the vodka sauce were delicious. And my chicken Parm with spaghetti was awesome! Inside the restaurant is nice and service was impeccable.

Angeline’s located at the Borgata, Atlantic City, NJ is owned by Michael Symon , it offers food based on his Sicilian roots and named after his mother. I have taken his cooking classes for a number of years. He puts on a very entertaining demonstration and then we get to enjoy the food and Michael comes around to speak to everyone as they enjoy the food. The people who work there are really a family and many like Frank and Tim have been there working with Michael from the beginning. I have always walked away thinking it was the best meal ever. Here are some photos throughout the years.

Should of stuck to just getting appetizers. They had a special restaurant week menu for $60. I chose ricotta for my starter since I love the whipped ricotta when we get the sunday supper here. I was given a ball of just about regular ricotta, maybe 10 whole chili flakes sprinkled on it. And 4 pieces of bread that had been sitting out for 2 weeks on the counter. Took one bite and it turned to bread crumbs over the table. Definitely not anything like the ricotta you get with sunday supper. Next I choose the chicken parm. I figured it would be like the normal dinner selection you get when you order it off the regular menu.. Wrong I did not get a chicken cutlet and a side of spaghetti like the menu, I got two chicken cutlets. Not a big deal, but that is just a ton of protein for one person to eat with out anything to cut between it. The people next to me must of got regular chicken parm so I was longingly looking at their pasta. Dessert I went with a canolli... What could be wrong with that.... I guess it wasn't my night. There was so much citrus rind in the ricotta that I had to take some out of my mouth and make sure some short rib or sausage didn't get into it. It gave the canoli such a chewy unpleasant texture. Overall I wish I hadn't gone with the full dinner and just got the two appetizers that I was going to get. Or next time I'll just wait to go there with my husband so I can get Sunday supper which we always enjoy. This was a great disappointment this time.

Have tried several different times to get a table here and finally were able to dine. The restaurant is very well put together. Nice seating. Good lighting and comfortable atmosphere. The wait staff is very attentive and didn’t miss much in terms of filling drinks taking orders and accurately serving. Table bread served with butter and was fresh and flavorful. Ordered the charcuterie and it was very good. Nice presentation and great choices of meats and cheese. One of the better ones I’ve had in awhile. Ordered dinner cavatelli in Sunday sauce and the bocatini. The cavatelli was served al dente and chunks of meat in the sauce The sauce could have had a bit more flavor. I felt it fell a little short but was still good. Portion was decent- but I feel when it comes to pasta it should be overflowing on the plate! The bocatini with short rib was good- the waiter remarked at time of order it’s spicy- we didn’t get that at all in The taste but then again our taste for spice is quite high. So perhaps someone with a lower tolerance might indicate some heat. Again a small portion of pasta was expecting more. The pasta tasted fresh also served al dente which is proper. Decided to have a small desert. Just chose the gelato Neapolitan and coffees. The ice cream is either made there (or is a very good brand) because it was very creamy flavorful and delicious. The coffee is average. 1 cup no decanter brought to table. Overall 2 people, appetizer, dinner and desert $130. Not bad for Borgata standards. Service was quite good especially the food runners and bus staff They do the bulk of the job and they were very polite and on point! Food is a solid 3-star.
